Dr Tressa is so special!! She was able to see my nearly 11 year old standard poodle mix on the same day requested. He has been battling valley fever for about 6 weeks. I called her and Arcadia Animal Clinic for a second opinion of an even more recent torn ACL diagnosis. Her honesty, care and compassion have caused us to leave his current vet to see her forever! Dr Tressa and the front office team were wonderful! The doctor truly cared to help our senior, diabetic cat when other vets, including our own vet could not 💜 She was thorough and able to diagnose the problem very quickly, recommending reasonable treatment. This is probably (and I’m not exaggerating) the best animal clinic in the city. It is not owned by a private equity company - it is owned by the knowledgeable passionately caring animal lover Dr Bracken. Too many vet offices within Phoenix and other cities have been bought out by private equity seeking to jack up fees - and they have ruined the veterinary practices that they’ve purchased. These faceless companies could care less about animals - in fact the prior clinic that we went to three years ago (All Creatures) also sadly bought out by private equity. Not only did they jack the prices up (and bring in a slew of recently graduated veterinarians - which of course is the business model) but they also installed credit card readers in the actual examination rooms. So there you are captively having your pet examined - and they ask for your credit card right in the middle of the examination. How absurd is that? Dr. Bracken on the other hand is running an old-fashioned veterinary clinic where your pets care is first and foremost. He knows his stuff as he’s been doing this for probably more than four decades. He’s friendly and caring, and always takes the time to explain things including follow up phone calls after the visit. We just recently had our 15 month old puppy spayed this past week along with an umbilical hernia procedure - and the doctor followed up after the surgery personally to let me know that everything was OK. Any pet owner knows how meaningful that type of call is. This is personalized care that is rare to find in ANY service business these days. Both my daughter and myself take our toy Poodles to Dr Bracken and he has even prescribed medicine on a Sunday in a pinch. The main negative of Arcadia animal clinic is that it’s understandably, a busy practice and very popular. This is not a huge veterinary practice. It’s Mom and pop in the middle of Arcadia. From what I recall, there is a waiting time and they don’t take new pet patients immediately. Non-emergency appointments sometimes take a little bit of time to get scheduled in. Getting through in the morning is sometimes a little bit of wait on the phone - but that’s OK. Dr Bracken reminds me of the vet that I grew up with as a kid growing up in Los Angeles. Experienced, knowledgeable, communicative, talented and someone who is not doing this just for the money - but because he loves his job and he loves animals. You can’t substitute his decades of experience either - and as a client, I appreciate that he always explains things without being rushed or condescending. I’m sure most of his customers (like me) hope that he never retires or sells the practice to one of the greedy private equity companies. Nothing lasts forever, but I am so thankful that such a wonderful and loving veterinary doctor is available to take care of our puppies. My daughter also is a client here with her dog and we all feel that they are the best in the business.

Our animals (11 dogs & cats over the years) have been cared for by Dr. Bracken and the staff at AAC for years. Dr. Bracken is the most caring vet I have ever met. He listens to your concerns, gets down on the animals level and always recommends you try sample products to see if they work for your pet before charging you. He goes above and beyond to make sure the animals are the top priority. Our family refers everyone to AAC. I will be forever thankful that we found Dr. Bracken and Arcadia Animal Clinic.
