Lovet Pet Health Care Bell Ridge

I want everyone to be aware of my experience today at Lovet Pet Health care today on Bell rd. Let me start off by saying, I cannot trust reviews at all anymore. They are not a reflection of the business. I booked my appointment for today at 5pm. I brought my cat in, which is traumatic enough. They were quick to see him, but what they did was try to sell me a package deal for full of treatent that included extremely overpriced services that totalled $1350.00 That part could be overlooked, because everyone is trying to make an extra buck these days. The truly awful part, was that they took my cat for xrays in the back. I waited, and waited and waited. About a half an hour later, I went out to the front of the clinic and asked, where is my cat, what is going on? The front desk lady said the xray machine was broken and they were trying to fix it. They kept my cat in the xray room for almost a half hour and never once bothered to tell me, the cat's owner, that he was being isolated in an xray room. I just could not believe they would not tell me and then left my cat in the xray area for that long. I asked them to get my cat immediately and that we were leaving. Why did they have me come in if the Xray machine was broken? Why did they not tell me it was broken or not working for such an extended period? Why would they just leave a cat in the back, when he should have been returned back to me? The entire appointment was a waste of my time and why would they traumatize an animal like that? These are supposed to be animal lovers and people we trust with our pets. I don't blame them for equipment failures, but I do blame them for keeping my cat isolated while they allegedly were fixing it. I do not recommend this vet at all. It was my first time here, and it was my last.

In March of 2024, this clinic did a grooming with sedation .. dog fell sick with dilated esophagus as they did not properly kept his head up during sedation. Additionally , the intubation injured and damaged my dogs stomach.. my child barely made it but he never fully recovered. What was even more upsetting was that the doctor ( dr. Johnson at the time )… charged me another 1000 dollars for Xray , once results came, there was a a huge white spot in his stomach , this what so called Doctor , started asking me what this white spot is as if I was supposed to know more than she did… my child never recovered fully, and I want every body know that, this clinic does not give a damn about your kid either , and they will charge you extra to diagnose or misdiagnose ( in this case ) of their deliberate negligence… shame on you .. my child’s life mattered and through your incompetence or deliberate negligence, he never recovered since that day…

For several years, we have used this vet, but that was before it became a corporate owned vet office. We took our dog for her annual checkup. She has never bitten anyone in her life. The vet ( I think, because she didn't introduce herself) walked in carrying two muzzles. We have a pit mix. The assistant was friendly, but neither of them made any attempt to make friends with my dog or even talk to her. The vet immediately launched into an upselling of services. Every office does this, but this was they main and only focus of this woman. I don't know her name or if she is even the vet. After they took our muzzled dog to the back for shots and the exam, the assistant brought her back to us and we never saw the vet again. We also have cats and if my house stunk of cat urine as this exam room and office did, I could not live in my house! Several years ago we bought into a program that gives us free vaccines for our dog, but at this point, they can keep it. We will never go back and if all Lovets are like this, which I assume they are, we will never try another one. The vet should at least act as though they like dogs and are not afraid of anything larger than a hamster!

The visit was exceptional, they are so kind and caring. We would never dream of taking our pets anywhere else
